- Outsidethecircle.ca is my local news blog, serving my neighbourhood of Spryfield, Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is syndicated for a wider audience by Haligonia.ca, a website dedicated to Halifax news. I believe that local news is important and that reporters have a responsibility to be involved in their communities. Unlike many bloggers, I don't merely comment on the news. I try to find it and report it.

- I worked as a court reporter for allnovascotia.com, a business news service delivered via email to 4000 subscribers. I covered stories from the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia and maintained a listing of all civil actions filed in the court.
